Electrical engineering students earn more money immediately after college , with an average starting salary of $ 57,030, according to a recent study from Michigan State University.

The study comes from the University of Employment Research Institute at MSU, and records the average starting salaries for new graduates in a variety of specialties.

According to the MSU study, the average salary for new graduates is $ 39,045 to start. The lowest average starting salary - Advertising - is $ 36,638.
