The Fitbit Exec took a psychology degree in product development
Tim Roberts gets a special movement for people on the move, and vice president of interactive design and monitoring of personal health company Fitbit manages to make happen.
"We have our lives outside activity," says Roberts, "if remote controls or game software, elevators or escalators or cars. The result is that you sit around a lot.
"Intervene more activity into your life is an extraordinary mission. Spent most of our days sitting at a computer that is not what we do is created biologically."
How many liberal arts students, completion Roberts realized he was not. Among studying psychology and working in science or psychology A class in cognitive science that combines management and IT products neuroscience has helped me to see that I really wanted to design, build and things.
So he was able this capability in software development and has translated most of what I needed to work on the met - including Product Management, Design and User Experience for all Fitbit digital products.
Roberts grew to be an artist himself, and was developed with Fitbit to start from the initial phase of all-in-I-do more than 200 employees. Much of his work is now bringing together the right people to do things. He compares it to a rock band, to create no rock star to get good music.
